Study Day: Walter Osborne's Dublin

To celebrate the exhibition and catalogue Homecoming: Walter Osborne’s Portraits of Dublin, 1880–1900, presented by the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, the curators and contributors are hosting a study day at the National Gallery of Ireland.

The day will be divided into two parts. In the morning, there will be guided visits to the Gallery's Prints and Drawings Study Room and the Centre for the Study of Irish Art for a behind-the-scenes look at a selection of drawings, photographs, and ephemera from the Osborne archive. Space is limited for these visits and will be allotted on a first-come basis.

In the afternoon, the exhibition's co-curator Dr Judith Stapleton will moderate a panel discussion in our Lecture Theatre.
