AcuYoga - combining the benefits of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and YOGA with Michelle Egan
Sunday, 31 August, 3pm-5pm // €35
A three part workshop that will introduce you to how acuyoga works and how TCM (Traditional Chinese medicine) and yoga overlap. We will begin with a warm-up using hands-on manipulation of pressure points with the aim to restore balance and to destress body and mind.
- AcuYoga practice (1 hr).
This is just as it sounds – a combination of acupressure and yoga. We will do yoga asanas while pressing on, or stimulating certain acupressure points on the body. This practice will combine yin and yang aspects, addressing the back and front of the body, the interior and the exterior, addressing the core.
- Auricular acupuncture/ Ear acupuncture.
The ear is a microsystem all on its own, one of many in the body! Michelle with place ear seeds in the ears, upon request, on particular points to manage stress and help with sleep and combat illness. These seeds can be worn home.
- Yin relaxation/savasana
Harnessing the benefits of acuyoga, we will relax with a quiet supported relaxation , with some soothing oils and gentle music.
