Van Gogh Contest

Do you have what it takes to paint the swirls and whorls? Dover Public Library is accepting submissions for the best replication of a Van Gogh, or of an original painting in his post-impressionist style. The top three paintings will go on to be displayed in the library, where they will receive their final votes from the public.

The best artwork will win 2 tickets to the MFA in Boston, with special exhibit access to see Vincent van Gogh’s portrait series, as well as a hardcover copy of Vincent Van Gogh: The Complete Paintings.

Submissions will be accepted from July 7th to July 11th. Though the competition is intended for adults and teens, all submissions will be considered.

Paintings can be dropped off at the adult circulation desk, along with your name and contact information. The winner will be announced by July 18th.
