Tatreez workshop with Nawal from Hebron Women's Collective (Dorking Quaker House)

Join us for a fun and informative evening learning about traditional Palestinian embroidery Tatreez, including a 90 minute workshop trying it out yourself.

We will start with a brief presentation by Nawal, talking about traditional Palestinian embroidery and life in the West Bank. We will then have a brief Q&A session, followed by a break for tea & biscuits and time for you to browse and purchase traditional Tatreez products, produced by the Hebron Women's Collective.

We will then start our workshop at 8pm, lasting approximately 90 minutes. Nawal will introduce you to basic Tatreez techniques, and coach you through making your very own unique piece of Tatreez embroidery for you to take home. You will also be able to continue this project at home if you wish!

No experience is necessary and all materials are included in the workshop fee, so just bring yourself and enjoy!

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about a unique heritage craft as well as supporting a creative Women's Collective based in the West Bank and demonstrating tangible solidarity. We can't wait to see you there!
