The Department of Planning & Development is hosting the second Community Meeting for the Calumet Area Land Use Plan. The updated Calumet Area Land Use Plan and Design Guidelines is a two-year planning effort being led by DPD and will focus on building a vision for the future of Chicago's Far South Side, including the Calumet, Burnside, and Pullman industrial corridors; Lake Calumet; portions of the Calumet and Little Calumet rivers; along with hundreds of acres of protected open spaces. For more information on the plan, visit: www.chicago.gov/calumet
What can you expect from this event?
This will be an interactive open house where you'll work with the planning team to share your feedback on a proposed land use framework. Whether you live, work, or spend time in the community - or all the above - you're welcome to attend! This is an open house event, so you can come and participate as your schedule allows.
