In today’s 4th industrial revolution era, mastering modern backend development tools is essential for ambitious developers. Spring Boot is one of the most widely used frameworks for building scalable, production-ready Java applications. To help students and early-career developers gain hands-on experience, the IEEE NSU Industry Applications Society Student Branch Chapter is organising a practical workshop titled “Spring Boot Essentials: A Hands-on Journey.” This workshop will guide participants in learning the main parts of Spring Boot and help them build the practical skills they need for backend development in today’s job market. The session will cover practical and essential skills for modern software engineering.
Our instructor for the session is Mehzabin Sadat Aothoi, a talented Software Engineer at Therap (BD) Ltd., who brings both industry experience and academic excellence. She is actively involved in developing and maintaining large-scale web applications and has a solid foundation in Java, Spring Boot, Git, RESTful APIs, and agile development practices. She is a passionate mentor dedicated to helping future developers grow their technical skills and confidence.
To ensure a smooth and interactive learning experience, participants who are bringing their laptops are requested to have the following installed on their devices before the workshop:
IntelliJ IDEA
Git
Java 17 or higher
We encourage students to take full advantage of this opportunity to build their backend development skills with professional guidance. This workshop will help them better understand their academics and increase their chances of getting a good job in today’s competitive tech field.
