Fight the bite : Dengue Diagnosis & Research

"Fight the Bite: Dengue Diagnosis and Research” is a scientific seminar organized by BMSS Manikganj Medical College Local Committee in collaboration with the Departments of Microbiology and Medicine. Held on 2nd July 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Lecture Gallery 1, this 150-minute session is designed to provide medical students with real-world insights into dengue diagnosis and ongoing research in Bangladesh. With expert participation from IEDCR (Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research), the seminar includes interactive discussions, a pre-evaluation quiz, and research-focused training. Attendees also gain hands-on experience with the Tourniquet test and Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDTs) for dengue, making it a rare opportunity to develop both clinical and academic skills. Each participant receives a certificate, a seminar notepad and pen, and lunch as part of the event. With a packed hall of engaged students and a strong academic lineup, the seminar promises to enrich the understanding and preparedness of future doctors in tackling vector-borne diseases.
