TFP Film Club, the official film club of the Department of Television, Film and Photography at the University of Dhaka, is organizing the 2nd edition of its intra-department audiovisual competition. This initiative aims to celebrate and strengthen the creative spirit of the students of the Department, encouraging them to experiment, collaborate, and push the boundaries of visual storytelling. This year, outstanding works will be recognized across 18 award categories, honoring excellence in every aspect of audiovisual creation.

▶ ELIGIBILITY
A participant must be an incumbent student of the Department of Television, Film and Photography (Batch 5–12).

Video: MP4 (H.264 video codec, AAC audio codec) or MOV (H.264 or H.265 video codecs, WAV or AAC audio codecs)
Screenplays: PDF format

▶ PRIMARY SELECTION COMMITTEE
The primary selection committee will be composed of active members of the TFP Film Club, headed by the Club President. Members who are participants in the competition will not be part of this committee. The adjudication process will be overseen by esteemed faculty members of the TFP department.
▶ JURY BOARD
The final selections will be made by the jury board, which comprises esteemed faculty members from the Department of Television, Film, and Photography, as well as esteemed filmmakers and industry professionals of Bangladesh.
▶ EVENT TICKETS
Tickets for the screening event will be available at a nominal cost of 10 Taka per person. Each ticket will grant access to all the screenings. Additionally, directors of the submitted works will receive complimentary passes.
▶ RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. A participant is allowed to submit multiple pieces of content in different categories.
2. The content must be within the duration of 20 minutes (excluding titles and credits). However, the runtime limit for television content is flexible.
3. If the work is in a language other than Bangla or English, English subtitles are required (preferably all submissions should have subtitles).
4. In the ‘Independent Film’ category, running students may submit films created outside any academic course or requirement. The film must be entirely independent and not made for, funded by, or released on any commercial platform.
5. A participant must be an incumbent student of the Department of Television, Film and Photography (Batch 5–12).
6. Submitted works must have been produced after 16 November 2023.
7. Entries for the ‘Best Graduate Film’ category — which includes both fiction and documentary works — will be accepted only from the following batches:
TFP 5th Batch – Master’s Graduate Production
TFP 6th Batch – Honours Graduate Production
TFP 6th Batch – Master’s Graduate Production
TFP 7th Batch – Honours Graduate Production
8. If fewer than three entries are submitted in any category, that category will be cancelled and no award will be given.
9. Submitted links must remain accessible until the final day of the event. Any entry found inaccessible or difficult to access during the evaluation period will be disqualified.
10. The maker is free to express his/her ideas and views in any form and genre.
11. The screening will be open for all.
12. TFP Film Club Executive Committee will have the right to alter the rules and regulations.
