Project NOAH Stroller Roll Resource Fair

– Redeem Detroit, in collaboration with many of its partners, is thrilled to announce the eagerly anticipated inaugural event, the Annual Stroller Roll Job and Resource Fair for young mothers. This dynamic event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, from 1pm to 4 pm, at Chandler Park, located at 12600 Chandler Park Dr. The event is set to feature a special guest, Tubi Star, Kaamel Hasaun, better known as Diesel and Mica Bivings, adding a touch of glamour and inspiration to the proceedings.

The Annual Stroller Roll is part of Project N.O.A.H., an initiative that seeks to highlight the immense significance of young mothers and their children in driving the growth and development of Detroit. With a powerful visual representation, 300-500 young mothers will proudly walk their babies in strollers, symbolizing unity, strength, and resilience within the community.

Chandler Park will host a plethora of opportunities for attendees. Strategically positioned stations will allow young mothers to enroll in job training programs, housing assistance, and educational initiatives, all aimed at equipping them with the tools for personal and professional growth.

Employers will also be a prominent presence at the event, setting up booths where job opportunities will be offered, and where immediate hiring may occur. This direct connection with employers is designed to foster economic stability and advancement for both the families and the city.

Financial institutions, HUD agencies, and various support services will also be on hand, providing guidance and assistance to participants in various facets of their lives. By addressing common challenges faced by young mothers, the event aims to create a comprehensive support system that sets them on a path to empowerment.

The Annual Stroller Roll Presented by Redeem Detroit & its partners promises to be a monumental occasion that recognizes and celebrates the essential contributions of young mothers and their children to Detroit's ongoing growth. We cordially invite media, community leaders, and all interested individuals to attend this empowering event.

Redeem Detroit has over 4,000 young moms registered in their Project Noah program nationwide. There are a total of 3000 in Michigan and over1700 in Detroit alone. Hopefully this event highlights the importance of having a special place just for young moms to receive the resources they need to uplift our children and our city!
