Emerging Philanthropists Happy Hour, Networking and Back-to-School Drive

Join United Way for Southeastern Michigan and Beacon Park at one of downtown Detroit’s most vibrant venues, Lumen Detroit located at Beacon Park, for a summer evening of connection, conversation and community impact.

This happy hour and networking event is designed for emerging professionals and regional leaders who want to build meaningful relationships while giving back.

Guests will enjoy:

• Light appetizers and a cash bar
• Networking with nonprofit, corporate, and civic leaders
• Tours of the space
• An opportunity to support students across Southeast Michigan.

We’re collecting new school supplies at this event to help local families prepare for the school year. Every backpack filled helps a student show up ready to learn.

Suggested donations:

Pencils, Backpacks, Three-ring binders, Composition books, Erasers, Colored pencils, Crayons Pens, Mechanical pencils, Pencil sharpeners, Folders Highlighters, Index cards,Scientific calculators, Display boards, Protractors Rulers

Every donation helps equip students with the tools they need to succeed and every attendee makes this impact possible. Whether you bring a single notebook or a whole backpack, your contribution matters.

Valet Parking will be available for a fee as well as near by street parking
