Our Event History

The Best Southwest area, which includes DeSoto, Duncanville, Cedar Hill, and Lancaster, is named because the cities can collaborate on projects that benefit Southern Dallas County. On June 19, 2004, these cities cooperated once again on a history-making event by co-sponsoring the first-ever Best Southwest Juneteenth Celebration. The event rotates to each city every year.

Parking Map and Free Shuttle Service

Free parking is available at Grimes Park and along the following streets:
Seahawk Dr., Kestral Ave., Falcon Dr., and Ospery Dr.

Shuttle Services will be available for Remote Parking. They will begin at 5 p.m. and end at 11 p.m. at Disciple Central Community Church at 901 N. Polk St.
