Join us Friday, August 1 from 2:30–3:30 p.m. for a hands-on FREE science workshop — The Inventor’s Lab: Liquid Worms Edition — led by Dasia Taylor, a nationally celebrated teen inventor, STEAM advocate, and proud Iowa native from Iowa City!
Best known for inventing color-changing sutures that detect infection, Dasia’s work has been spotlighted on Ellen, CNN, Smithsonian Magazine, and more. Recently honored as USA Today’s 2023 Iowa Woman of the Year, she’s empowering the next generation to dive into science with curiosity, purpose, and creativity.
Workshop Highlights:

• Design your own Water Charms
Perfect for ages 5 and up! This is a come-and-go style workshop, and it's all included with your general admission ticket. Come meet Dasia and discover how fun science can be!
Tickets - children ages 2-12 will receive 1/2 price admission Friday, August 1. Tickets must be purchased in person to receive this discount.
