Studio Tour: Step Into the Creative World of Sue & Jim Heemstra

Mark your calendars! You're invited to a special evening studio visit with artists Sue and Jim Heemstra on Thursday June 26th, from 7:00–8:00 p.m. at their home studio in Des Moines.

Location:
1244 41st Street, Des Moines, IA
(Located between University and Forest Street on the west side of the street)

Where to Park:
Street parking is available, or you can park in the lot at the corner of 41st Street and University, across from Uptown Shopping Center.

How to Find the Studio:
The studio is located in the backyard behind their house. Head up the driveway and enter through the garden gate (and don’t forget to close it behind you—we’re keeping curious rabbits out of the garden!). Many of their ceramic sculptures are displayed outdoors, so please dress for the weather.

This is a wonderful opportunity to view the Heemstras’ studio space, explore their ceramic work, and enjoy time with fellow potters. We hope to see you there!
