Course Description
This full-day, interactive program is designed to help clinicians approach anterior implant placement with greater clarity, confidence, and clinical success. Focused on the unique challenges of the esthetic zone, this course blends evidence-based protocols with real-world experience to guide participants through risk assessment, ideal case selection, digital diagnostics, and step-by-step surgical planning.
Attendees will receive practical instruction on smile design principles, gingival biotype evaluation, CBCT-based treatment planning, and soft tissue preservation techniques. In the hands-on portion of the course, participants will place anterior implants into typodont models using Nobel Biocare’s active implant system. The session will also include guided bone regeneration (GBR) and soft tissue management exercises using regenerative biomaterials, providing a comprehensive, simulated experience in esthetic implant placement.
Whether you’re placing implants regularly or just beginning to expand your surgical scope, this course delivers a clear, simplified framework for achieving esthetic, functional, and long-term success in the smile zone.
Learning Objectives
*Apply evidence-based case selection criteria to distinguish between ideal, borderline, and high-risk cases in the esthetic zone.
*Understand the importance of atraumatic extraction and its role in preserving esthetic outcomes.
*Evaluate how gingival biotype, smile line, and soft tissue thickness influence anterior implant planning.
*Learn when to implement immediate versus delayed implant placement and how each impacts esthetic results.
*Understand key principles of guided bone regeneration (GBR) and soft tissue grafting techniques for long-term esthetic success.
*Evaluate and select biomaterials appropriate for site preservation, augmentation, and soft tissue support.
*Utilize CBCT, 3D printing, and surgical guides to enhance planning accuracy and precision during implant placement.
*Reverse-engineer implant positioning based on the desired final restoration.
*Recognize common esthetic complications and how to prevent or manage them.
*Gain hands-on experience placing Nobel Biocare implants into typodont models with simulated GBR and soft tissue management.
Hands On Learning Objectives
*Placement and restoration of N1 Nobel Biocare implant with chairside 3D-printed temporization
*Placement of a temporary restoration for an All-on-4 case using in-office 3D printing.
*Demonstration of ICAM 4D and Fast Mapping for photogrammetry scanning
This program offers a practical, step-by-step approach to elevating your digital capabilities while enhancing patient care through innovative, efficient techniques.
