Heart Jewel Day Retreat

An opportunity to join us for Heart Jewel Retreat at Lamrim Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Derry / Londonderry.

- Session 1: 9am – 10am
- Session 2: 12pm – 1pm
- Session 3: 3pm – 4pm
- Session 4: 5pm – 6pm

Heart Jewel is a method for receiving attainments through the practice of the Guru Yoga of Je Tsongkhapa. It also contains prayers to the Dharma Protector, the wisdom Buddha Dorje Shugden, who protects the Kadampa tradition and removes obstacles from our own spiritual practice.

Through practicing Heart Jewel, we learn how to generate the right state of mind with which to meditate successfully. It empowers, purifies and, most importantly, blesses our mind, so that we can meditate at much deeper levels and gain actual experience in meditation. We use chanted prayers as a guided meditation that connects us with our Spiritual Guide and deepens our understanding of the Lamrim (stages of the path) meditations.

In this retreat we will have four opportunities to engage in the chanted prayer practice of Heart Jewel . We will be using the prayer booklet Heart Jewel Sadhana . If you wish you can buy a hard copy at the centre on the day or download an ebooklet.

Everyone is welcome . The retreat is suitable to those new to meditation as well as experienced practitioners. No special clothes are required and seating is provided in chairs and meditation cushions.
