CLASS SCHEDULE LISTED BELOW

8.30 am and 10.30 am
Entry fee 20p, Junior classes free.
Prize Money First: £1, Second: 50p.
There is no requirement for show entrants to visit the open gardens in order to submit an entry.
Please note: All produce will be sold after 2pm unless the exhibitor states otherwise.

VEGETABLES
1. A plate of Tomatoes (minimum of 4)
2. Four Potatoes
3. Four Runner Beans
4. Any 4 root vegetables not listed , single variety or mixed
5. Any 4 vegetables, single variety or mixed, excluding root vegetables
6. Three Beetroot
7. Potato Challenge (Members Only)
(Beets & root vegetable tops should be trimmed to 7.5cm)
FRUIT
8. One plate of soft fruit, single variety or mixed
9. One plate of any other fruit, single variety or mixed
FLOWERS (* Please bring your own bottles)
10. A vase of mixed garden flowers
11. Three stems of any flower, single variety
12. Four Fuchsia heads displayed on a dark background
13. Bunch of cut herbs in a container
14.One flowering pot plant (clearly named)
15. One bloom from a tree or shrub in a bottle *
16. A single spike of Gladioli
FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS (bought flowers may be used)
17. A foliage arrangement about 30cms (12ins) wide
18. A Floral Arrangement. Accessories allowed
19. A miniature arrangement 10cms (4ins) overall

#Photos must not have been shown at Breadsall before, should be unmounted and no larger than 6ins by 4ins.
Please put your exhibitor number on the back of photos.
RECIPE FOR EASY FRUIT CAKE
4 oz (110g) butter or margarine 8 oz (225g) mixed dried fruit
5 oz (140g) granulated or caster sugar 5 fl oz (140ml) water
8 oz (225g) self raising flour 1 egg, beaten
2 oz (55g) glace cherries, quartered
Put butter, sugar, water, fruit & cherries in a saucepan over a low heat until butter and sugar melted.
Cool slightly.
Heat oven to 150 deg C/300 deg F/gas mark 2.
Add flour and beaten egg. Mix Well
Pour mixture into a greased and lined 2lb (900g) loaf tin.
Bake for approximately 1 hr 15 mins.
Leave to cool in the tin for 20 mins before removing from tin.

2. Entries accepted from 8.30am. All exhibits to be displayed in the hall by 10.30 am.
3. The Show Committee shall not be responsible for
any loss or damage.
4. All produce will be sold after 2pm unless the
exhibitor states otherwise.
5. The Judges’ decision shall be final.
6. Prize money to be collected between 2 and 3pm
