Ready for an afternoon of chilling stories? Are you a fan of horror? If so, you won’t want to miss our author signing and talk with Desiree S. Evans!

We are very excited to welcome Desiree S. Evans to our shop to discuss *The Black Girl Survives in This One*, a collection of fifteen horror stories centering on Black girls who battle monsters--both human and supernatural--face down death, and survive. Local author Jumata Emill will be joining Desiree for a question and answer session - but don't worry, he'll be signing his books *The Black Queen* and *Wander in the Dark* as well!



Prepare to be terrified and left breathless by the pieces in this anthology! Desiree S. Evans has curated a truly spinechilling collection, and we are so excited to share it with you! Let's meet up at the bookshop on June 21st at 3:00 to chat about great writing, spooky stories, and the power for Black girls!
