You are invited to join us for a unique GARDEN-TO-KITCHEN experience celebrating three of the most nutrient-dense tropical greens you’ve probably never heard of before!
Meet The Super Greens…
Most familiar leafy greens (the ones you find in grocery stores year-round), don't grow in South Florida summer - the weather is just too intense for most of these “normal” veggies. That’s why our food forest grows plants acclimated to Florida’s hot summers. Three of our favorites - katuk, moringa, and chaya - all thrive in heat and humidity, and are major food crops in their native regions (tropical and subtropical Asian and southeast Asia, and the Yucatan peninsula, respectively).
We want to introduce you to these amazing, super-nutritious greens and show you how easy it is to grow and cook with them!
We’ll begin at Swinton Community Growing Project, where you’ll meet the featured plants, and learn how to grow and harvest them. Plants will be available for sale in case you’d like to start your own food forest at home...

Next, we’ll head across the street to the charming, air-conditioned cottage at the Delray Beach Historical Society for a cooking class and tasting with Ayurvedic chef Ryann Morris.
