From cave paintings and totems to the heads on Easter Island, from the Egyptian hieroglyphics to Michelangelo’s sculptures, from Medieval altarpieces to Picasso’s reclining nudes, the human form has appeared again and again in the art of all cultures. Portraiture, genre painting, nudes, and Madonnas tell the story of our history. Our art reflects our very essence. This show invites artists to exhibit their interpretation of human connection with particular emphasis on form and figure.
