Juneteenth Commemorative Service

Friends of the African Union Church Cemetery and the community groups involved in the Juneteenth Observance series of events invite you to a solemn ceremony at the African Union Church Cemetery.

Featuring:

Music by the HildaMan Chorale, the Mount Salem U.A.M.E. Church, and Phyllis Phelps;

Raising of the American and Juneteenth Flags

Battle Hymn of the Republic

Recitation of the USCT Soldiers' Name

Parking is available at the Community Center (4th Street back lot) and the parking lot adjacent to Kathy's Crab House. The cemetery is accessible from 5th Street across from the Community Center / Library on the Michael N. Castle Trail. 15-30 minutes walk - transportation will be available if needed.
