Held on the third Thursday of each month, Memory Cafés provide a safe place for those experiencing memory loss and their care partners to socialize and have fun with others in similar situations.
During these informal gatherings we’ll start with a familiar song and a “get to know you” question. Followed by a presentation or activity with a simple craft, game, or shared reading to spark memories and conversations. Then we’ll close the program with another short singalong.
May 15 - Cancelled due to illness. Anyone who had planned on attending is invited to come to the watercolor painting workshop with Home Instead at 11:00 a.m.
June 5 - Backyard Birds
Through puzzles and bird call videos let’s explore backyard birds.
July 17 - Kitties and Cats
Do you have a cat at home, or did you have a favorite pet cat growing up? Learn about the pets of some of the library’s staff, too, and make easy cat toys for these feline friends.
August 21 - At the Beach
Bring the best beach memories front and center through magnetic beach scenes and sensory wave bags.
This program is sponsored by Care Patrol and Off the Leash Coffee Company.
At each Café there will be a table with free resources and giveaways, along with books to check out. Snacks, tea, and coffee will be served.
First time attendees please email Susan at
