A workshop on how to speak with people you disagree with politically
Hosted by On the Level - a Washington, DC-based non-profit that brings together people of opposing viewpoints.
Once our country was called a melting pot. But we have become increasingly entrenched in cultural silos, unable to communicate even with some family members and neighbors.
This workshop will provide tools for conversing civilly with people of differing politics. In group and small group exercises we will explore tools for improving our communications. Led by J.E. McNeil, a Washington-based lawyer who has given this training to leftists, Democrats, Republicans, Quakers, fundamentalist Christians and others - sometimes at the same gathering!
