This will be one to remember for sure!!!
We will begin the day by gathering in the morning and heading towards the beautiful Algonquin Park east gate.
Once through the entry point, we will all meet the Barron Canyon trail head for a first glimpse of this most spectacular sight.
The hike is a short one but good to get the blood flowing and ready for the adventure that awaits!
The actual day starts with a few portages before we arrive in the canyon. All told we will carry our gear for 700 meters one way (3 portages) we cross 2 lakes before hitting the canyon itself.
Throughout the day, we will have the opportunity to explore a water fall, jump off fun rocks into the water, eat our packed lunches (not included) and swim to our hearts content! Once we have sufficiently explored the canyon, we will anchor up and drop in for a sound healing journey like you've NEVER experienced. The 400 foot cliff provide a sound resonance that is incomparable and I can not WAIT to share this experience with you!!!!
This day trip is not for the faint of adventure. The portages aren't too grueling, but you must be able to carry your own weight (and board!) The paddling isn't too challenging, but we will cover approx. 12 kilometers this day. The bugs shouldn't be too bad. The winds will be.. what they will be!
But I guarantee you, you will have fun!!!!
