Join the Iowa Art Therapy Association for our Annual Retreat, Weaving Our Way in the Wild: How nature can support us during times of change, transition, and grief while strengthening the fabric of community, on Saturday, August 9th from 11 am-5 pm at Phelps Park in Decorah (exact location will be in email).
Event will include several explorations of weaving on nontraditional looms incorporating repurposed fibers and nature items or themes, mindful nature walk, exploring relevance to personal and professional experiences and related concepts, theories, and approaches for working with clients inclusively throughout the lifespan.
The day will also include a gathering for lunch (please bring your own lunch) and networking and a board meeting to invite participation in future status and happenings.
Karen Misseldine, ATR, LMHC will be hosting and facilitating the retreat with assistance from and Sarah Pisney Art Therapy Student that will include 5 CEUs.
Cost is $40 for IATA members, $75 for non-members, and $25 for students.
