Smoking a Whole Hog 101

We will offering a whole hog class to all Veterans and First Responders (5+ Years) July 28th at the Hearty Hog's Takeout and Catering location in Decatur, TN (2294 Highway 30 W. This class will be free for those who qualify.
We will begin the class at 5pm Eastern time. After the Veterans/First Responders learn the basics of how to prep, and smoke the whole hog, we will take a break until the following morning at 10am (Saturday), which is when we will finish smoking the hog and preparing it to serve to the public. Sides and drinks will be provided by the Hearty Hog. As of now we do not have housing accommodations for this class; however, those who attend the class have the option to tent camp at the Hearty Hog the night of the 18th. These individuals who wish to camp will also conduct firewatch on the smoke pit overnight.
