Intermediate American Mah Jongg at Cafe Lily July 27th 12:30 - 2;30 and August 10th 3:30 - 5:30

Intermediate American Mah Jongg –
This class picks up right where our beginner class left off – if you didn’t take our beginner class, the pre-requisites are:

· Able to identify the tiles, suits, matching dragons, neutral tiles

· Understand the terms pair, pung, kong and quint

· Familiar with the NMJL card and how to build hands

· Understand general rules for Jokers (where you can use them and how to exchange them)

· General rules of play

· What we will cover:

· We will start with a rule review, card review and Q&A (we love questions - come with a list!) then cover picking a hand and strategies for the Charleston, and strategy by stage of game, along with some more nuanced game rules and a lot of practice playing!

Class will be held at Cafe Lily in Downtown Decatur Sunday July 27th from 12:30 - 2:30 and Sunday August 10th from 3:30 - 5:30.
