The Power of Movement and Sound Frequency:
Relax … Restore … Rejuvenate...
Please join Internationally Certified Yoga Therapist, Yvonne Clark (C-IAYT, ERYT 500, teaching yoga since 2006) in this deeply restorative session intended to teach attendees how to thoroughly relax into soothing yoga postures. This therapeutic yoga session allows the practitioner to completely unwind and release in order to rest deeply in poses which promote restoration of all the organ systems and calm the nervous system, lower the stress hormone, and increase immune function. This kind of gentle nourishment actually rejuvenates the individual!
The art of self care is approached from a therapeutic standpoint as Yvonne safely guides beginners and seasoned yogis into gentle yoga poses for an overall, profoundly restorative experience.
Paired with Sound Therapy which works to heal deep layers of stress through the use of sound vibration and frequency.
Vibration works on the body and the brain in several ways; The sound from the crystal bowls emanates from the source and is felt by the body as vibration and heard by the ears as sound. The vibration input stimulates nerve bundles along the spine, up into the brain stem and then through the limbic system. In addition, the sound stimulates the medulla in the brain stem and activates the auditory nerve which connects with all the muscles of the body. These reactions signal the body to relax and flood the brain with mood lifting chemicals. Moreover, the low frequencies also cause a relaxation of the tissues, as well as, an opening of the lymphatic pathways which, in turn, increases the body's ability to heal.
This session utilizes healing vibration tools called singing bowls tuned specifically to the "heartbeat of the Earth" at the 8 Hz frequency to "entrain" the brain, providing a profound effect on people's physical, mental and emotional body and mind. No experience necessary.
