Code Required Signage

Sponsored by PLANIT Studios and AIA Dayton, this is part of AIA Dayton's in-person Lunch and Learn series. The session will be held in the Koorndyk Room of the Arcade. Parking is available in the Reibold Building Garage or there is street parking.

This session will be led by AIA Dayton member Dianna Conboy, senior Project Manager of PLANIT Studios.

Learning Objectives:

• To understand the details of a sign system so that it is compliant and fully inclusive and accessible to the disabled population using ADA Accessibility Standards.
• To understand the details of a sign system so that it provides improved life safety wayfinding in stairwells, elevators, and exits for the building occupants, staff and emergency responders.
• To understand the details of directional signage maps and where best to locate them to be compliant with the local fire code.
• To understand the details of a sign system so that it provides adequate information for hazardous areas in healthcare to maintain the best safety practices for staff and patients.
