Gem City Action x MarYSoul Expression are hosting, artist and community member, Jesper Beckholt, for a guided Blackout Poetry workshop. The workshop will be hosted in Gather at the Acrade located in Downtown Dayton.
All materials are provided. Gather will have their evening menu and others available for indivudal ordering.
We will be creating poetry that involves taking an existing text (ex. a page of a book) and blacking out or otherwise obscuring a large portion, creating a new work from what remains and is seen.
