Taya Chani is an Australian singer, guitarist, songwriter & recording artist.
She is an artist who travels easily through many genres like Blues, Soul, Americana, Rock and RnB and loves every destination within her musical landscape.
Playing shows at festivals, venues and bars all over Australia, while accumulating strong camaraderie with a vast network of well sought-after musicians and songwriters.
A chameleon Queen - fermented in the richness of Blues, infused with Americana, Country and Soul,
spiced with Funk and R’N’B, with a love for Jazz. She was also raised with an ever present influence of Pop and Rock’n’Roll.
Taya is a dynamic and rhythmic guitar player that delivers a genuine and comforting presence, her solo shows are intimate and raw inside her songwriting and when Taya fronts a band, her dynamics, showmanship and strength shines through. Her powerful yet soulful vocals are the highlight of the show.
Her debut album 'Restless Heart' was released 2019 and reached number 7 on the Australian Blues Charts.
Number 2 on the Australian Blues Charts. in a duet ‘Only Guiding Light’ with * Ball Aitken.
Now touring the release of the album ‘Nightbird’, In collaboration with Artist ‘8 Ball Aitken’ featuring both artists and their songwriting. First few singles from the album have been released.
Another collaborative Album with a single out so far, band - ‘ Southern Junction’, featuring Matt Ross and Taya Chani. Album of all original material.
Taya has so much appreciation and love for her supporters, she is committed to the work and the ride to wherever her music takes her.
