🌕 Vietnamese Lantern Festival 2025 - A Celebration of Northern Vietnam's Charm ✨

Join us for another magical evening at the Darwin Waterfront on Saturday, 6 September 2025 from 3 PM to 9 PM, as we celebrate the beauty, traditions, and stories of Northern Vietnam at the Vietnamese Lantern Festival 2025!

Proudly organized by the Australian Vietnamese Family Association Inc. (AVFA) and supported by the Northern Territory Government and Darwin Waterfront, this free family-friendly event invites everyone to experience the joy, warmth, and wonder of Vietnam’s Mid-Autumn traditions, right here in the Top End. After being named Community Event of the Year 2024 by the City of Darwin, the festival returns with even more excitement, colours, and cultural richness!

What to expect:

🏮 Lantern wonderland: Be captivated by hundreds of handmade lanterns inspired by the landscapes and culture of Northern Vietnam.

🏮 Photobooth: Snap beautiful memories with our themed photobooth and grand moon display.

🏮 Cultural performances: Enjoy an exciting lineup of traditional music, lion dances, and contemporary Vietnamese-Australian showcases.

🏮 Kids & family activities: Try your hand at folk games, lantern making, and face painting for all ages.

🏮 Floating lotus lantern release: Take part in Darwin’s unique lantern release, an unforgettable moment of reflection and hope.

🏮 Vietnamese street food: Savor authentic Northern Vietnamese flavors from our lineup of food vendors.

🏮 Fireworks finale: Wrap up the night with a dazzling fireworks display over the Waterfront. And... It's FREE to join!
