Join us for the Darwen Sprint and Standard Distance Triathlons, Aquathlons and 5k & 10k Trail races on Sunday 22nd June.
Take on a Sprint or Standard Distance Triathlon or Aquathlon around Bold Venture Park and surrounding scenic moorland, including a trail run up to the iconic Jubilee Tower!
This Triathlon is an exceptional choice for those wanting to take on a pool swim in Darwen Leisure leisure centre before taking in the stunning views alongside a challenging course with some steep uphills and, rolling downhills and a scenic trail run up to the tower before returning with a downhill finish in Bold Venture Park.
The sprint Triathlon consist of a 800m swim, followed by the 20km bike route and a 5k run.
The Standard distance completes a 1600m pool swim and the 2 laps of the bike & runs course, to make these 40km & 10km respectively.
If the full triathlons not for you, then not to worry, you can join us for an Aquathlon version or just the running sections.

Standard Aquathlon -1600m swim, 10k run – 2 laps of run course
Standard Distance Triathlon -1600m swim, 40km bike (2laps), 10k run (2 laps)
Sprint Distance- 800m swim, 20k bike, 5k run
Sprint Aquathlon -800m swim, 5k run – 1 lap of run course
10k Trail Run -2 laps of the run course
5k Trail Run -1 lap of the run course
Wave times will be confirmed in the month of the event, based on estimated finish times.

Indoor pool swim, at Darwen Leisure Centre.
Your wave will be assigned based off your estimated swim time, and you will be notified of this in the week leading up to the event.

Standard:
Wave 1 – 7am (expected swim time of 35+ mins)
Wave 2 – 7.45am (expected swim time of 25-35 mins)
Wave 3 – 8.20 (expected swim time of sub 25 mins)
Sprint:
Wave 1 – 8.45am (expected swim time of 23+ mins)
Wave 2 – 9.15am (expected swim time of 17-23 mins)
Wave 3 – 9.40am (expected swim time of sub 17 mins
