Newcomen to Trevithick - the development of the Atmospheric Steam Engine
A free talk In the Clifton Room in the Guildhall. Dartmouth Museum Chair and Steam Engine expert, Mike Rowley, will give a 45 minute talk on the evolution of Newcomen's Atmospheric Engine from 1712 to Trevithick's breakthrough engine with horizontal action in 1804. Unfortunately, David Hulse cant be with us, but Mike will show images and details of his model engines to illustrate his talk.
