A new listening room space for me located in the Heart of the Heartland! Teri & Bryan are our hosts! Read on about this cool venue: Terri George, a native of Iowa, and husband Bryan George, native to Australia, have been involved in the sale and restoration of antiques and custom furniture for over 20 years. They have brought their experience to Dallas Center to open Board and Batten, LLC. Board and Batten describes the typical Midwestern barn exterior that has vertical boards joined with small strips of wood, referred to as battens. Board and Batten started out selling found, refined and curated goods. In addition, antique, primitive and vintage goods were repurposed into decorator home/design goods and were made available for purchase. Their inventory also consisted of specially selected gift items. In 2024, Board and Batten reshaped the store into a friendly, fun gathering venue where patrons can come to sit, chat, play pool, and listen to live music. (That last part is where I (and you) come in!
Music will be in their basement speakeasy and the bar will have all of your favorite beverages and flatbreads available. If you would prefer, enjoy the music of David while sitting upstairs at the bar or playing on one of their three pool tables. Going to be a great evening!
