Bat Night at Comox Lake!

We promised we'd reschedule and we did!

Join the Cumberland Community Forest Society (CCFS) for a lakeside presentation all about Bats! The CCFS is part of the BC Community Bat Program and manages the local BC Community Bat Count and the Cumberland Bat Project, providing public education about these fascinating species at risk.

Come and learn about bat evolution, biology, habitat, bat myths and legends, and the science of bat conservation.

The Comox Lake Watershed is a bat habitat hotspot and this presentation is great for all ages. Come learn about our efforts with the BC Community Bat Count this summer!

Meet at the covered area at the main beach and be settled in by 8 pm. Bring a comfy chair, a headlamp or flashlight, and cozy blanket! Sunset is around 8:15 so we can expect to see bats around 8:45 - the main attraction
