Welcome to the Super Secret Sapphic Mixer!

Join us for a night of fun, mingling, and meeting new friends in the LGBTQ+ community. I know that in the DMV area, most gay events tend to be marketed more toward gay men—so I thought it would be a great idea to create a space for queer women to come together and strengthen our community!

This event is for our lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, non-binary, and trans women community members. Leave your gay bestie and your boyfriend at home—it’s time to get to know your local sapphic community a little better!

I know that making new friends and connections can feel super intimidating sometimes—and that kind of social anxiety can make you feel even more distant from the LGBTQ+ community.

That’s why we need spaces like this to exist! My goal is to create a warm, welcoming environment where everyone feels safe, comfortable, and confident enough to spark up a convo with a random stranger. This is a no-judgment zone—just good energy, open hearts, and a whole lot of queer joy! This is the kind of event you can totally show up to solo and still have the best time. Whether you’re new to the area, craving community, or just feeling a little bold—come through! You might leave with a bunch of new friends… and maybe even a beautiful woman or two.

Our community is hurting under the weight of the current administration's attacks on LGBT+ rights and now, more than ever, we need each other. We need spaces where we can show up, speak out, and lift each other up.

When we come together, we remind ourselves that we’re not alone. Queer joy is resistance. Queer connection is power. And building community is a form of protest in itself.

We’re trying keeping this event low-key, so we kindly ask that you don’t post the RSVP link on your public profile. But feel free to send it directly to your friends, group chats, or anyone you think would love the vibe!

Just a heads-up, this event isn’t partnered with the bar—it’s just a casual meetup spot to hang out and have a good time! There’s a spacious parking lot with plenty of free parking available.

To get into the building, just walk past the liquor store entrance and look for a blue door on your left. If you can’t find it, feel free to head into the liquor store section of the building and ask for directions.
