Saint Pio of Pietrelcina: Man of Hope and Healing
Thursday, June 12
Catholic Cinema always begins on time!
Please be seated by 7PM in the Oasis Room.
Limited to the first 30 movie lovers to RSVP!
Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, is perhaps the most venerated contemporary Saint of the Roman Catholic Church, with millions of followers worldwide. Yet, when it comes to presenting the life of Saint Pio, no recent biographical documentary has been produced … until now!
Incredible is the number of times the Capuchins sent the seminarian and young priest home sick unto death, and how he was finally sent to remote San Giovanni Rotondo, “For a couple of weeks of mountain air.” He never left. But from this small, remote mountain friary, he became world famous and exercised unbelievable influence on the world as a whole.
Those who know of Saint Pio will be reminded of who he really was, and those who do not know him yet will learn about the inspiring life of this humble and holy man.
This documentary, a collaborative effort between
The St. Pio Foundation and EWTN, was released in 2024. It runs 1 hour and 15 minutes and is family-friendly.
Every Catholic Cinema movie is enjoyed in St. Matthias’
Oasis Room, featuring big comfy couches/chairs and a BIG screen TV. Free drinks, free popcorn (that’s almost never too salty), the occasional sweet treat, door prizes, and St. Matthias’ legendary hospitality make Catholic Cinema a great value and a great time. Bring a pillow and a blanket to maximize your comfort. Be one of the first 30 movie lovers to sign up using this QR code.
