Preserving Your Harvest Presentation - Free

Gardens bring an influx of produce all at once so it’s a must to preserve your harvest in one form or another. We will review a variety of fruits, vegetables, flowers and herbs and how you might pressure can, freeze or dehydrate your harvest to use later in the season. Once you’re familiar with the variety of ways, you can decide which is the most efficient and convenient for you, your family or to package as gifts!

Sheila Boldt grew up in the Brainerd Lakes Area gardening, foraging and canning from a young age (Grandma was Genevieve Borden, Merrifield Garden Club). She and her husband live in Merrifield with their 6, 4 & 2 year old children on 40 acres. They maintain a 70x40 high tunnel greenhouse & a large outdoor garden. Sheila runs her own business doing native wildflower shoreline restoration and photography as well as works full time for WonderTrek Children’s Museum as their Horticultural Specialist & External Relations Manager.
