Plug Into Nature for Teens: The Prairie

Jump start your summer and plug in to nature! There are so many tech tools to explore, relax and gain inspiration from nature. This program will introduce you to the Seek, iNaturalist and Merlin apps all while hiking and exploring the prairie at Goodenow Grove. Then take part in inspiring prairie nature photography and go on a scavenger hunt. We will play games that incorporate our tech tools and provide treats! You deserve a relaxing break from school. Fly solo, grab a friend or meet a new friend!

Fee: Free!
Age: Ages 13-18. An accompanying adult must remain on site.

This program requires use of a cell phone or tablet. A designated adult is required to say on site, in the nature center or in the preserve, during the program.

The hike will be up to 1.5 miles on natural surfaces across uneven terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online ( https://www.reconnectwithnature.org/americans-with-disabilities-act-information/request-accommodation-inclusion-service/) no later than 48 hours before the program.
