Sam's Point Area of Minnewaska State Park Preserve
400 Sams Point Road, Cragsmoor, United States
Join Stewardship Coordinator, Olivia Castañeda, and SCA/AmeriCorps Interns, Todd Padilla and Madison Cannella, in learning about moths and observing the variety of moth species that occur at Sam’s Point Area after dark. There will be multiple light stations set up at the Sam’s Point Visitor Center that will attract moths for us to observe. This program will only take place at the Sam’s Point Visitors Center; there is no hiking portion to this event. In addition, we will discuss moth biology, why we should protect them and demonstrate how you can make moth habitat at home!
