We're thrilled to host Chef Lesley, recently honoured as:
- One of only five women in Canada inducted into the CCF Honour Society
- CCF-Western Chef of the Year (2024)
- CCF Lifetime Achievement Award (2024)
- Camosun College Distinguished Alumni (2024)
As a champion of local food and culinary tourism, Chef Lesley has led countless initiatives connecting communities with chefs, farmers, and producers, including NVICA FoodFests and Flavour. Her volunteer work spans roles with: Les Dames d’Escoffier, NVICA, Canadian Culinary Federation, BC Culinary Arts Foundation, BC Chefs Table Society, Culinary events like Summerdine, CooksCamp, and Skills Canada.
Joining Chef Lesley is Chef Christine Godlonton. Chef Christine holds Red Seal certifications in both Culinary Arts and Baking, the latter reflecting her true passion. Since 2012, she has been teaching at VIU, where she finds joy and inspiration in helping students grow. She considers it a privilege to share her love of food through teaching.
Both Chefs are members of Les Dames d’Escoffier, BC Chapter. A non-profit organization of women leaders in BC’s hospitality, food and beverage sectors committed to inspiring, advancing and supporting the women in our communities today and the next generation of female leaders. To date, Les Dames d’Escoffier, BC Chapter has granted over $300,000 in funds to support scholars since our inception in 1992.
