Midsummer's Defenders of Hartwood!
In the high heat of summer, come to challenge and come to support all those who vie for being the Martial Defenders of Hartwood!

On the fields and in the woods, gather to participate and be witness to those who would test their mettle against other contenders, demonstrating skills at arms, wielding weapons guided by their eyes and wits. Who will earn the recognition this year?

ALSO
There will be ROYALTY! - Her Highness of Tir Righ, Their Excellencies (Heirs) of Tir Righ, and Their Excellencies of Seagirt!

Contest – Atlatl competition sponsored by Muirenn ingen ui Briain (AKA Muirgen)
: The atlatl competition will be a normal scoring round of 9 darts at 15yd, and 9 at 20yd. Standard 4ft FITA target. Highest score gets the atlatl and darts! (Note: No need to bring your own; atlatl and darts are supplied for the competition.)

Cedar weaving
: There will be prepped cedar bark on hand to experiment with. A hat? A flat fan? You choose.

Regalia Fund-Raiser
: There will be an opportunity to claim, for a fee, some lovely pre-owned garb. Funds go towards the future Baronial Regalia.

Other activities: bardic space; period card games; boules of some sort; possibly some Foresters Guild activity.

As the site is a Scout camp, it has amenities usually associated with one. There is potable water on site, and the biffies are many and clean. During the heat of the day, the creek has settled into summertime lovely, cool pools in which to recline and paddle. Note that children ought to be supervised around open water. The woods are cool during the day, with opportunities to explore, and possibly seek out some thimbleberries to snack on. Use of the firepits will depend upon the fire hazard rating on the weekend.

Note: Being a Scout camp, no alcohol is permitted on-site. That is, this is a strictly dry site. No exceptions.

Animals permitted on leash, following the An Tir leash laws.
