Modern Dance classes with Guest Teacher Donna Blatt-Ervin

Corvallis Academy of Ballet is pleased to welcome Donna Blatt-Ervin, the retired Director of Modern Dance Technique, as a Guest Teacher for the last two weeks of our Summer Session.

Donna will be teaching the Modern Dance Level II classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:15pm-9:00pm, on July 22nd, 24th, 29th, and 31st. These classes are recommended for intermediate and advanced-level modern, contemporary, and ballet dancers, ages 12 years old and up.

The classes on July 22nd and 24th will focus on Martha Graham Technique, including floor work, center, and across the floor exercises.

The classes on July 29th and 31st will focus on Lester Horton Technique, including floor work, center, and across the floor exercises, as well as several Horton studies, Preludes, and Fortifications.

All four classes will also include repertoire excerpts that were created in the Graham and Horton styles, developed by Donna Blatt-Ervin during her 32 years directing MDT.

Class Cost: $12.00/class, or only $5.00/class for CAB, WAB, & MDT alumni, and for all college students.
