Birding Hike with Amanda & Matt Sloan

Join local birding experts Amanda and Matt Sloan for a guided hike through one of Mosquito Lake State Park’s premier birding hotspots—the Lakeview Recreation Area (LRA). Known for its diverse population of songbirds, this trail offers the perfect chance to spot and learn about the feathered residents that call our park home. Amanda and Matt will share tips on identifying birds by sight and sound, and they'll highlight how this area supports our cavity nesting program, which provides critical habitat for woodpeckers, chickadees, bluebirds, and more. Bring: Binoculars, water bottle, and curiosity!
