Park & Play - Corryton Park

The KCPR Team is offering a free pop-up program to bring recreation, fitness fun, and art entertainment to your local park. Activities can include giant board games, scavenger hunts, arts & crafts, group games, athletic demonstrations, and so much more!

Park & Play takes place Thursdays, 9:30 am-11:30 am

June 5 – Plum Creek Park
THEME: Mini Olympics
*Encourage people to come dressed up and ready to play

June 12 – Sterchi Hills Park
THEME: Retro Play

June 19 – Tank Strickland Park
THEME: Juneteenth (40 for 40)
*Will include a “Freedom Walk” around the 0.5-mile loop, stopping at mini stations along the route – set up with different educational / interactive activities

June 26 – Mascot Park
THEME: Aerial Exploration
*Kite fest/90s themed

July 3 – Beverly Park
THEME: Critter Crawl
*"Bookworm" around the story book trail and pollinator activities as park is part of our BLOOM project

July 10 – Maloney Road Park
THEME: Treasure Lake
*Nautical / Pirate themed

July 17 – Walker Springs Park
THEME: The Arts & Theater

July 24 – Corryton Park
THEME: Luau

July 31 – Hardin Valley Community Park
THEME: Circus
