The Priesthood: History & Theology

Fr. Jacob Romero, a First Year priest, will be joining us to share his testimony from his first year of priesthood, along with history and theology of the priesthood.

Father Jacob grew up in Los Alamos, graduated from high school in 2013 and studied electrical engineering for three years before going to the seminary. He went to Mount Angel Seminary for 3 years studying philosophy and then attended The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC for a four year theology program. He was ordained to the priesthood on May 18th, 2024 and served as parochial vicar at Our Lady of Fatima in Albuquerque, and was made pastor by Archbishop Wester this past November of Saint Rose of Lima in Santa Rosa and Saint Anthony of Padua in Fort Sumner.
