If you've ever been inspired by your favorite comic book or animated tv series, this is the class to take!
Elisa Peña will teach students the fundamentals of designing their own characters to use in projects such as animation, comics, and zines. Students will create strong characters and learn how professionals prepare their characters for use, using character sheets and turnarounds!
Please note that all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children are not allowed to be dropped off.
Instructor Biography:
Elisa Peña is the self employed artist and owner of Artistrybyelisa. While a Texas State University graduate with a B.F.A. in Communication Design, Elisa is based in their hometown, Corpus Christi, Texas. Elisa strives to create work representative of identity, as well as pop culture, through media including printmaking, digital art, painting, and fiber arts. They love making traditional art as well as merchandise that makes their work more accessible to the masses!
