Sharkey's Bar & Grill and Cagney’s House of Rock have combined forces to host a spectacular benefit spanning from the western suburbs of Coral Springs to to the southern reaches of Broward County to help local musician, Kenny Wendland, raise enough funds to cover the costs of medical procedures he is currently undergoing.
There is an outpouring of support from the local music community with many of South Florida's finest bands participating in this unique “fun” raising event. The music kicks off in Coral Springs at 1pm and continues with 5 bands taking turns performing on the large stage at Sharkey’s Bar & Grill.
Participating bands include:
1pm Hairdaze, the Amazing 80's Rock Show
2pm House of Rock
3pm Southern Blood, a tribute to Southern Rock
4pm Mister Nice Guy, south Florida’s most popular Classic Rock cover band
5:30 The Livesays featuring original and cover music by Billy Livesay and his band of rockers.
The benefit concert continues at Cagney's House of Rock in Davie starting at 5pm featuring a non-stop lineup of bands that Kenny has himself been involved with over the years including but not limited to Monster, Hangar 5, Gypsy Queen, The Regs and The Rock Show. Last but not least, Kenny Wendland will himself perform with his fellow musicians to close out the night and thanking everyone for their support.
There is NO CHARGE to attend this event. However, be prepared to donation what you can. Money will be raised via Silent Auctions, Door Prizes, 50/50 raffles and traditional donation jar.
