Peter Riegert and Academy Award® winner Burt Lancaster star in Bill Forsyth's charming, offbeat comedy Local Hero, about Texas oilmen lured by the magic of a tiny Scottish village.

Oil billionaire Felix Happer (Lancaster, Field of Dreams) needs a port for his North Sea drilling operations, and his company finds the perfect harbor in a quaint seaside town. Happer sends Mac (Riegert) to buy the entire village, unaware that the locals are more than willing to sell and relocate. However, as Mac spends time in the town, its charm and eccentric inhabitants begin to change him—and his mission—in ways he never expected.
