BauBau and photographer Camilla Lohmann invite you to the opening of the exhibition ‘Remember That Time I Moved to Sweden - and was happy for a while?’ The event takes place on Thursday, August 14th from 4.30-8 pm at the shop on Birkegade 3, Nørrebro.
As always, it will be extremely fun and fantastic. There will be plenty of cold drinks, snacks, cutepeople, curated vintage fashion, and great music on the speakers.
And yes – it’s Copenhagen Pride Week, and of course we’re celebrating that too!
What’s not to like!?!
Bring your friends, lovers, family, or just your fabulous self – everyone is welcome. We can’t wait to see you.
Kisses and hugs from us.
About the artist and the exhibition:
Camilla Lohmann is a Danish artist and photographer with a BFA degree in Photography from HDK-Valand Academy of Art and Design in Gothenburg, Sweden, from which she graduated earlier this year.
Lohmann’s work explores themes of identity, gender, and queerness. Through photography and visual art, she channels her curiosity about the world and the people in it. Her practice blends documentary and staged photography, often incorporating found or used materials and objects.
The exhibition, ‘Remember That Time I Moved to Sweden – and was happy for a while?’ brings together a series of experiments and tests with screen printing and engraved photographs on various materials such as used industrial sandpaper and rope. They are presented alongside earlier projects, and previously unseen works created during her three years in Gothenburg.
